PDF Studio respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application collects, uses, stores, processes and protects information when you use PDF Studio.
PDF Studio is designed to provide PDF reading, PDF creation, scanning, OCR, conversion, annotation, compression, merge, split, lock, unlock, AI Summary, Ask PDF AI, Draw & Ask PDF AI, Google Sign-In, optional cloud sync, premium subscriptions, rewarded ads and document management tools in one app.
PDF Studio is designed to work primarily on your device. We do not intentionally collect, store, sell or upload your personal PDF files, images, scanned pages or documents to our own servers.
PDF Studio may access PDF files or documents that you select, open, scan, create, save, edit or share inside the app. This access is required for core app features such as:
PDF Studio does not require persistent access to your full photo or video library.
When you use features such as Image to PDF, Scan Document or OCR Scanner, the app may allow you to choose images using the system file picker, Android Photo Picker, gallery picker, camera or document scanner. The app only processes the images that you select or capture for that specific action.
PDF Studio may request camera permission for scanning documents, capturing images for OCR, and creating scanned PDF files. Camera access is used only when you choose camera-based features.
PDF Studio saves created PDFs, exported AI PDFs, scanned PDFs and edited PDFs locally on your device. The app may also keep local records of recent PDFs, favorite PDFs and saved PDFs so that you can reopen them easily.
If a file is deleted, moved or renamed outside the app, PDF Studio may no longer be able to open it and may remove it from the recent or saved list.
PDF Studio may allow users to sign in with Google. Google Sign-In is optional. Users can use many PDF Studio features without signing in, unless a specific feature requires account-based access, cloud sync or usage limits.
When you sign in with Google, the app may access basic account information such as:
This information is used only for account functionality, showing your profile in the app, optional cloud sync, AI usage limits, premium status, sign-out and account deletion features.
PDF Studio may provide optional Cloud Sync using Firebase services. Cloud Sync is used to backup and restore small app settings linked to your signed-in account.
Cloud Sync may store settings such as:
PDF Studio allows users to draw, highlight, erase, undo, add notes, duplicate PDFs and save edited PDFs. Annotation and editing data may be temporarily stored on your device so the app can display and save your edits.
PDF Studio may process images selected or scanned by the user to detect text using OCR. OCR processing is used to extract readable text and create PDF files or text output.
OCR text may be shown inside the app and can be copied, shared or exported as PDF when requested by the user.
PDF Studio may provide AI features such as AI Summary and Ask PDF AI. These features help users summarize PDF content, ask questions from selected PDFs, create notes, generate MCQs, prepare important questions and understand documents more easily.
To provide these AI features, PDF Studio may extract readable text from selected PDF files or scanned pages. The extracted text, user questions and necessary document context may be sent to an external AI service to generate the requested response.
Users should avoid using AI Summary or Ask PDF AI for highly sensitive, confidential, private, financial, legal, medical or personal documents.
AI-generated answers may not always be fully accurate. Users should verify important information from the original PDF or other trusted sources.
PDF Studio may provide a Draw & Ask PDF AI feature. This feature allows users to select, draw around or crop a specific area of a PDF page, such as text, a question, a diagram, an image, a title, a table or other visible content, and ask AI to explain, solve, translate, extract or summarize that selected area.
To provide this feature, PDF Studio may capture only the selected or cropped area of the PDF page as an image and send that selected image, the selected task, optional user question, page number and limited document context to an external AI service such as Google Gemini or another AI service provider.
Draw & Ask PDF AI may offer different modes such as Fast mode and Deep mode. Fast mode may use a faster AI model, while Deep mode may use a more advanced AI model for detailed reasoning, diagrams, study problems or complex questions.
Draw & Ask PDF AI uses separate credits. Credits may be granted through premium plans, rewarded ads or other available options shown in the app. If an AI request fails, PDF Studio may refund the consumed Draw & Ask credit according to app logic.
Users should avoid using Draw & Ask PDF AI for highly sensitive, confidential, private, financial, legal, medical or personal documents if they do not want selected content to be processed by an external AI service.
PDF Studio may save Ask PDF AI chat history locally on your device so that you can continue previous PDF conversations. This chat history may include your questions and AI-generated answers.
PDF Studio may also allow users to export a single AI answer, AI summary or the full AI chat as a PDF file. These exported files are saved locally on your device and may appear in the app's Saved PDFs or Recent PDFs section.
AI chat history and exported AI PDFs remain on your device unless you manually delete them, clear chat history, remove app data, uninstall the app or share the files using external apps.
PDF Studio uses Google AdMob to display advertisements, including banner ads, inline ads, interstitial ads and rewarded ads where available.
Rewarded ads may allow users to earn app credits, such as Draw & Ask PDF AI credits, after successfully watching an eligible ad. Rewarded ad availability may depend on Google AdMob, region, device, ad inventory and policy requirements.
AdMob may collect or process device identifiers, Advertising ID, approximate location, app interaction data, ad performance data and other information according to Google policies. Google explains that the Advertising ID is a user-resettable and user-deletable ID provided by Google Play services.

PDF Studio may offer optional premium plans, subscriptions, in-app purchases or credit-based features through Google Play Billing. PDF Studio does not collect or store your full payment card details. Payment processing is handled by Google Play according to Google Play policies.
Premium plans may include benefits such as ad-free usage, higher AI limits, Deep AI mode and Draw & Ask PDF AI credits.
PDF Studio may use Firebase services provided by Google for authentication, optional cloud sync, app stability, crash reporting, performance monitoring, AI usage tracking and app improvement.
Firebase services may collect or process information such as:

PDF Studio uses user-selected file and image access for features such as PDF opening, Image to PDF, Scan Document and OCR Scanner. If you do not select a file or image, the app will not process that file or image.
PDF Studio does not require persistent access to your entire photo or video library for its core purpose. For one-time or limited image selection, the app uses picker-based access where supported.
If you deny camera or file selection access, some features such as scanning, OCR or PDF creation from selected images may not work, but other app features may still be available.
